- Yes—include subject, style, camera/lighting, composition, and quality in your prompt.
Scoring Scoring & Results
How is the score calculated?
- We use simple, rule-based checks (no AI calls) that run in your browser.
- Weights: Clarity 30%, Specificity 30%, Role/Context 20%, Output Format 20%.
What does a low score mean?
- Your prompt may be vague, missing constraints, or lacking a defined format.
- Use the checklist and Improved Prompt to fix issues quickly.
Can a 100/100 score guarantee perfect answers?
- No score can guarantee outcomes—ChatGPT results still depend on the task and model.
- But higher scores typically lead to clearer, more useful responses.
Why did my score change after small edits?
- Small changes (adding numbers, examples, format) directly improve your score.
- This reflects the tool’s focus on clarity and structure.
Privacy Privacy & Security
Do you store my prompts?
- No. All checks run locally in your browser.
- Your text is never uploaded to our servers.
Do you use cookies or trackers?
- We may use Google AdSense for ads which can set cookies.

Is PromptScoreGPT safe for confidential text?
- Processing is local, but consider your device’s security.

Compatibility Compatibility & Performance
Which browsers are supported?
- Latest versions of Chrome, Edge, Firefox, and Safari.
- Mobile browsers work too; best on newer devices.

- Some features (like external links) require internet access.
Why is it so fast?
- No server round-trips or API calls.
- Lightweight, rule-based checks in JavaScript.
Help Troubleshooting
The score doesn’t change—what should I do?
- Make sure you’re adding specifics (numbers, examples, deadlines).
- Define a role and ask for a specific output format.
- Try the Examples menu to see patterns that score higher.
My prompt is long—does that hurt my score?
- Length alone doesn’t hurt, but verbosity without structure does.
- Add headings, bullets, or a clear format request.
Can I reset to start over?
- Click Clear to wipe the text box and reset the results.
